I'vechosen a very nice film for me ,to do the film review, thoughit isn't the last film I saw; the movie name is “Hachiko a dog's story” is directed by Lasse Hallströmand the protagonist is Richard Gere.
Is a drama based on a story about an Akita's puppy domestic at Japan that was sent to USA (New Jersey), but the cage where was de animal it fall's, and then it lost in the train station where professor Parker Wilson founds him wandering and keeps it. Moreover his wife did not want the dog to stay home, but later convinced. Parker named it as was wearing a necklace with number eight in Japanese (Hachiko)
Years later, when the dog was bigger, Parker would throw a ball and the Hachiko ignored him, a friend of Parker tells that gives only the space for a reason...
Every day when he was going to work the dog follows him to the train station and waited for his return.
One day the professor was going to work as usual, but the dog stopped him and gave him the ball, he was surprised but although went to work, and Hachi was sad, death premonition his master, when the professor teaching, gave him a heart attack and died.
All the family was very sad and the daughter of Parker took the dog at her home but at the time when the professor should has gone to college the dog escaped from the house of the daughter and went to the train station to wait for his master, day after day, month after month, year after year... the dog was waiting, but he never appeared and died when it was old.
At the end of the film appears images with the really story of the real Hachiko that was born in Odate (Japan) in 1923 and after the death of this owener (was a doctor too) in 1925 and Hachiko waited day after day until his death in 1934 in Shibuya Station. At finally arise a photo of a statue to Hachi at one ot the entrances of the station.
This story is based on real events and shows the loyality and the value of friendship with dogs and humans. The film has differents moments, some are very nice, but the film is very sad and emotional.
I watched this film with my family and because this we saw the dogs breed and as we liked we bought an Akita Inu
